Scott McDermott was a noted Haworthia and Aloe collector who tragically died after he and his wife were hit by a drunk driver. This hybrid, which Scott developed, is a cross between the two unlikely species of Aloe humilis and A. excelsa. They have the size of A. humilis but with brawny leaves and spines inherited from the A. excelsa. These plants are rooted offsets in one-gallon pots.
