From the Chihuahuan Desert of Texas and Chihuahua, this species reputedly offered a cure for syphilis (unverified). This species has several characteristics that separate it from other “stick” Euphorbias: first, it is hardy to well below 20F; second, it makes a great landscape plant in much of the southwestern United States, forming large clumps; and third, it has really nice pinkish-white flowers produced in the springtime. These plants are single-stemmed rooted cuttings in 8-inch pots.
