This tufted shrub, which has many variegate branches with very long spines, is from northern Kenya (Turkana District) and southern Ethiopia. Kali sans means "very fierce" in Swahili, which is an apt description. The cyathia are yellow. These plants are rooted cuttings in 5-inch pots.
