An icon of the Chihuahuan Desert, and one of the most widespread Yucca species in Mexico, this species is a tree up to 30-feet high. It can be mistaken for a Joshua tree (Yucca brevifolia) from a distance. The name comes from the shredding margins on the leaves, which are reasonably flexible. This species is frost hardy to at least 20F. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
