Widely distributed from eastern Australia to New Guinea, eastern Indonesia, and other islands in the southwestern Pacific Ocean, this beautiful pachycaul tree typically is associated with riparian settings. The leaves are oblanceolate and dull green with lighter green veins. This is a classic plant for either bonzai or for perching on a rock, draping the roots over the sides and into the soil beneath. These plants are seedlings in one-gallon pots.
