From the Canary Islands of Spain, this shrubby, non-spiny species was once thought to be a subspecies of E. obtusifolia. Instead, this shrub has linear leaves borne near the tips of fine branches. The cyathia are a greenish-yellow color. These plants are seedlings in 5-inch pots.
