Distributed in west-central Mexico, this plant is a medium-sized tree. The stem has an overall silver-gray color with deeply shredding bark and aromatic resin. The leaves are pinnate with 5-11 leaflets that are light green in color and with serrated margins. The leaves may be hairy or not. These plants are rooted cuttings in one-gallon pots.
