This spineless columnar species comes from Madagascar. Its superficial likeness to Alluaudia dumosa earned it its former name of Euphorbia alluaudii. It forms shrubs or small trees in habitat, and subspecies oncoclada differs from the typical because of its highly segmented stem that some compare to a string of sausages. We offer rooted cuttings of this interesting species in 4-inch pots.
