This species is formerly known as Euphorbia polygona "Snowflake" or Euphorbia horrida “Snowflake.”Schnabel (2011) renamed this species, with its powdery white trunk, and Euphorbia polygona var. nivea, linking its purple cyathia to that species instead of E. horrida, which the body, with 12-16 ribs and glaucous white body, more closely resembles. Our rooted offsets are in 5-inch pots.
