These plants, propagated from plants originally collected near the Oribi Gorge, Kwa-Zulu Natal Province of South Africa, which is far to the east from the type locality for this species. These plants, which some consider to be part of A. cristatus, have flattened leaves that are elongated, pale gray-green, and have subtle wavy and uneven margins. These plants are rooted leaves in 3-inch pots.
