Some Agave experts think that this miniature Agave with somewhat rounded and wavy-edged blue leaves with a sharp spiny tip is closely related to Agave pototorum. Its thickened leaves are arranged in rosettes that are up to 4-inches wide at maturity, and the species clusters readily. These plants are rooted offsets in 5-inch pots.
