This uncommon species, a narrow endemic in Sonora, Mexico, on limestone, is one of the most beautiful of the agaves. The rosettes are solitary and relatively small, and the leaves are linear-lancheolate, glossy green with yellow to red highlights and no marginal spines but a long, whitish terminal spine. These plants can easily take 23F and probably considerably lower. These plants are seedlings in 2-inch pots.
