Widely distributed in the winter-rainfall areas of Namibia and western South Africa, this species features a squat form with peeling bark. What sets this species apart is the halo of persistent flowering peduncles, which makes for an interesting plant in cultivation. These plants are rooted cuttings in 4-inch pots.
