This bulb, which looks somewhat like an onion when dormant, has leaves like tightly spiraled cork screws. It grows in the Western Cape Province and Namaqualand of South Africa. This plant is so unusual it once won the "People’s Choice" award at the Tri-City show in Los Angeles. The flowers are white and green and pendulous. These plants are in 4-inch pots.
