From the arid regions of Peru, this species is rather common in habitat and is used for hedgerows. The stems are pale gray and can become 12-feet tall and are sparingly branched. The large green leaves have five shallow lobes with prominent white veins. The flowers are red with yellow pollen. These plants are rooted cuttings in 10-inch pots.
