We previously listed this as an undescribed species, but experts in the field believe it is a form of Euphorbia monacantha. We agree, but it deserves its own entry because of its beautiful stem markings. This very attractive species has radiating branches up to ½-inch thick and 8-inches long and tubercled branches that are beautifully marked with purple-red patterns on a dark green background. Solitary half-inch-long spines project from the tubercle tips. This undescribed species is from Ethiopia. We have seedlings of this species in 6-inch pots.
