These plants are endemic to a small area of coastal Kenya near the town of Kilifi. The rosettes have thin green leaves with white striping, and the leaves gain a reddish-purple cast when stressed with sun or drought. The flowers are held in a short, near capitate inflorescence and are red. These plants are rooted offsets in 5-inch pots.
