Agave angustifolia is one of the most wide-ranging species of Agave, ranging from Sonora, Mexico, down to Central America. It is a medium-sized plant with long rigid leaves typically without marginal teeth but bearing a rather nasty terminal spine. The variegated form has yellow leaf margins. These plants are rooted offsets in one-gallon pots.
