This recently described species is from central Mexico, where it grows at high elevation. A solitary species with a medium-sized rosette, it has more-or-less ovate leaves that are blue-green in color and bear substantial marginal spines. This could be the most frost-resistant species of Agave. These plants are seedlings in 5-gallon pots.
