Crassula deceptor is native to the Richtersveld and Namaqualand regions of South Africa and Namibia, and it often occurs in cracks in rocks or quartz fields. The stems form ranked leaf towers, and the leaves are glaucous with small white hairs. The flowers are unimportant. These plants are rooted offsets in 4-inch pots.
