Now this is an interesting hybrid. Cultivar Black Widow, developed by Gerhard Marx, is a cross between H. arachnoidea, H. mirabilis, H. mirabilis var. badia, and H. emelyae var. major. We then crossed that back to H. arachnoidea var. nigricans, and this is the result. These plants are seedlings in 2-inch pots.
