This rarely offered species is from a restricted area of the Eastern Cape Province of South Africa. These plants were propagated from material originally collected near Stone Fountain (MBB 6852, VA 7742). Part of the subgenus that includes the closely related A. gracilis, these light-green, offsetting plants have thin translucent leaf margins and keel, feathery bristles on the leaf margins, and a whitish leaf tip. Our plants are rooted offsets in 4-inch pots.
