A low succulent species from the Western Cape Province of South Africa, and closely related to E. restituta, E. mammillaris, and other similar species, this plant has a tubercle-covered, dark green body. The cyathia are borne in clusters on peduncles that become woody and persistent. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
