I bought 2. The caudexes arrived shriveled but with three large leaves; I assume the transit taxed the plants reserves. The leaves eventually died off and the caudexes remain shriveled. Its now iffy if they're alive-- they probably went dormant and I don't know if it will survive until the fall when they should start regrowing. Arid Lands is awesome and i've spent $$$ buying seedlings that I can get nowhere else, so this isn't meant to be a critical review of their practices, but for this particular species perhaps taking off the leaves before shipping would've been wiser. In any case, I bought them at the wrong time, March. Perhaps buying it in the fall when its waking up from dormancy would've been better. Just an FYI for for other buyers. Transit and repotting might be an issue at the wrong time of year.
