This species is from Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. The caudex, which can grow large in width but flat in cross section, is tan and produces upright stems with green leaves. The leaves are a light green and obovate. The flowers are bell-shaped, pendant, and light red. We have seedlings of this species in 6-inch pots
