Encephalartos manikensis, from southern Zimbabwe, has gray-green spiny leaves. This is a fast-growingand relatively small cycad that offsets and forms clumps. It can withstand some frost and can take full sun in areas that aren’t as harsh as Tucson, Arizona. These plants are seedlings in one-gallon pots.
