This species, once known as S. sulcata, has been merged in with S. canaliculata, but these plants are significantly different. The habitat for this species is in the Congo without further locality information. The leaves, 2-4 feet long when mature, are cylindrical with a smooth, evenly colored brown-green surface and numerous ribs separated by furrows. The tip is sharp and hard, but We’ve cut it off to fit these plants into boxes for shipment. These plants are rooted offsets in 5-inch pots.
