With the common name of Spanish dagger, this species has stout and sharp-tipped leaves growing out of a short trunk with a potential height of 12-15 feet; more typically, these plants are around 6 feet tall. The flowers are borne in a dense panicle and are cream colored. These plants are seedlings in 8-inch pots.
