Euphorbia enopla var. enopla resembles E. atrispina and E. heptagona, but E. enopla has more spines on the stems that are thicker and have more angles, and the terminal spines on the growing tips are reddish-purple. Subspecies viridis has a crown of yellow spines that tend to turn the darker reddish-purple with time. We have rooted cuttings of this species available in 4-inch pots.
