This species is from southern Africa, typically from the arid and semiarid areas in the southwestern part of the continent. The leaves are narrow with a prominent upper channel and characteristic smaller channels all around. The leaves are distichous and light gray-green. These plants are rooted offsets in 3-gallon pots.
