This species is from southwestern Madagascar. These plants are vining from an enlarged base that has the typical olive-green Adenia epidermis and looks like melted green wax. The oblanceolate leaves are relatively small on young plants and very pretty with light-green veins. These plants are seedlings in 5-inch pots.
