From northern Mexico (particularly Baja California) and extreme southern Arizona (Organ Pipe National Monument), this Jatropha comes from extremely arid areas. With time, the stem becomes a whitish yellow and is one of the most spectacular succulent plants in the region. These plants are seedlings in one-gallon pots.
