This tree or large shrub is actually a mangrove that can grow away from coastlines. Known as silver buttonwood, because of the tomentose leaves that are silver in color, it tends to grow in tropical environments but thrives in high temperature areas and can use brackish water supplies. These plants are seedlings in 5-inch pots.
