Typically in low elevation sites in coastal Jalisco, Mexico, this species is a tree with shredding gray bark. The leaves typically are trifoliate but may be pinnate with 5-7 leaves. The leaves typically are lanceolate but may be ovate and typically have serrate margins. These plants are rooted cuttings in one-gallon pots.
