This recently described species, related to Sansevieria pearsonii, is from southern Angola (Richards 2087). It is a very slow-growing plant that has a nearly glaucous epidermis when exposed to sun but is medium green in the shade of greenhouses. It differs from Sansevieria pearsonii in the wide spread of its leaves, its short stature, and its slow growth rate. These plants are rooted offsets in 5-inch pots.
