Ron Parker, from central Arizona, spent considerable time and effort searching for Agave cultivars developed and used by ancestral people in the southwestern United States. His story of searching out these cultivars, and regular species of Agave as well, makes for an interesting read about a group of plants that are rarely cultivated these days and hard to find in habitat.
