This species grows in both the Western and Eastern Cape Provinces of South Africa, and its distribution mostly is in the summer-rainfall region. The thick stems have a crown of long, dissected leaves. The flowers have pink petals and bright orange anthers. These seedlings, in 4-inch pots, are a good plant for bonsai.
