From southern Zimbabwe to the northern provinces of South Africa, this species has a swollen caudex, spiny stems, lanceolate-ovate leaves, and white flowers with pinkish throat produced in the fall. Pachypodium saundersii is very easy to grow large and flowers at about this size. These seedlings are in 5-inch pots.
