This small, cryptic Gasteria only occurs on the quartzite cliffs and hills near Kouga Dam, Eastern Cape Province of South Africa (EVJ 11032). A beautiful, rare species, its leaves are densely tuberculate, forming beautiful little rosettes. The tall inflorescence is typically branched and bears reddish-pink flowers that typically are not as inflated as in other Gasteria species. These plants are rooted offsets in 4-inch pots.
