This species is from Yemen (10 Zayed Awad), although reputedly it has a distribution that extends southward into East Africa. These plants have dark gray-green paired leaves with little or no mottling. Offsets are produced on the underground roots, which extend laterally and parallel to the surface. The flowers are held in a short inflorescent and are mostly white. These plants are rooted offsets in one-gallon pots.
