One of the most prized of the ocotillos, with time this dwarf species forms a large caudex. Fouquieria fasciculata grows in southern Hidalgo, Mexico, where it is highly localized. A squat caudiciform, this species is the closest of the ocotillos to a geophyte. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
