This species, from Nuevo Leon, Mexico, is one of the hardiest members of the genus Agave, presumably able to withstand temperatures as low as 10F. The solitary rosettes have numerous yellow-green leaves bearing strong marginal spines. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
