This tree Aloe occurs in a broad swath from Angola and Namibia across south-central Africa to Mozambique. Typically solitary on its trunk, this usually maculate species puts out large panicles of red flowers during the summer and fall. This is perhaps the most common tree Aloe in Namibia, and it has a prominent place in the national botanical garden in Windhoek. Our plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
