This hybrid has long been known in the trade and once achieved species status. It probably is a hybrid between Aloe distans and A. brevifolia, possessing the light green leaves and spots of the former and the dense marginal spines of the latter. These plants, moreover, are variegated with streaks of yellow and orange. These plants are rooted offsets in 8-inch pots.
