This is supposed to be synonymous with Parodia sellowii, but well keep it separate for now. Distributed in Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay, the species has is a light-green body with appressed white-yellow spines. As with most species in the larger Parodia group, the flowers are noteworthy and are a showy yellow. These plants are seedlings in 4-inch pots.
