This is a Sunbird Aloe produced in South Africa (LEO 3711). Unlike similar cultivars, it is a shrubby species 4-5 feet tall with a margin of soft spines. The flowers are supposed to be red and held in a conical inflorescence, but in Tucson they tend to be red-orange in our warm conditions. These plants are rooted offsets in one-gallon pots.
