This highly desired pachycaul tree from Madagascar is in the Anacardiaceae and related to Pachycormus discolor, the Elephant tree from Baja California. Operculacarya decaryi forms a gnarled, warty trunk with age, which makes it highly appealing to collectors. These plants are seedlings in one-gallon pots.
