This rare species from Somalia is slow growing. The seedlings are distichous, but the mature plants are solitary and rosulate. The leaves are thick and succulent and typically recurved; the margin becomes pink with time, and the leaf surface is roughened. The flower color ranges from yellow to red. These plants are seedlings in 5-inch pots.
