From the vicinity of Cordoba, Argentina, this offsetting globose species is related to Gymnocalycium bruchii. It has a dark green body with prominent reddish-white spines pressed against the ribs. The flowers are white with a glossy and pinkish blush. These plants are seedlings in 5-inch pots.
