This is part of the Sulcorebutia steinbachii complex from Bolivia, and this highly variable group of plants has a number of different forms. This clustering and mound-forming species has a green body that has many white spines arranged along numerous ribs. The flowers are variable but typically orange to red. These plants are seedlings in 3-inch pots.
